Doug Haywick holds a BS (Honours) degree in Geology and Chemistry (McMaster University, 1982), a Masters degree in Earth Sciences (Memorial University, Canada, 1985) and a Ph.D. in Geology (James Cook University, Australia, 1990). He has published articles and delivered conference presentations on a wide range of geological subjects relevant to this grant proposal including: petrography and environments of deposition of siliciclastic sedimentary rocks, cathodoluminenscence of sedimentary rocks and minerals, electron microprobe analysis, and geological interpretation of archaeological sites (i.e., Dunning Quarry).
